Life After Death
A Capsule Collection - LCF '14
This collection began from reading about the Terracotta warriors and the esteem given to people after death. Through the exploration of death, mourning and afterlife and the eyes of the Shang dynasty I was able to find inspiration for colour and silhouette. The shapes used in this collection, relate to Plague masks a common marker of death throughout history. For me this collection represents a new way of thinking when it comes to the darkness of death and mourning. Below is the journey taken to get the final outfits.
